I love to decorate for every holiday, if you have been following me for this past year, you know I even decorate for St. Patrick’s Day…So, of course the pink comes out for Valentine’s Day! Also, you know by now that as much as I love to move furniture around, I am always changing up my mantels! So, I have some pretty photos of my Valentine’s Day mantle for you and a super easy DIY project…Actually it is a total cheat…shhhhh…
I love to add flowers around my home, especially pink ones for Valentine’s Day. I live in New Hampshire, so my garden is buried in snow. Pink carnations are probably the cheapest flower to buy at the grocery store and they last a long time.
ok, you’re probably wondering how I cheated. I actually bought this garland at Michael’s last spring. I loved it because it was so neutral and I knew it would be able to stay up all year-long. I knew Jo-Anne’s stores were having a sale on Valentine fabric, so I thought I would make my own, but then I thought about just adding some pink fabric to the one I already had.
It worked! I love it.
You can eye-ball it and cut it with scissors
Or if you have a quilter’s mat and fabric cutter it will cut making garland in half!
