I never really enjoyed decorating for fall. I think it may have to do with the fact that I live in New England and New England in the fall is the most beautiful place to see the colors of the season. So each window in my home becomes a framed picture!
To be honest I never did enjoy decorating for fall until I became a blogger…
The only thing I ever did was set a thanksgiving table, and that is only because I was the host and as you know that is my favorite thing to decorate!
So I guess you could classify me as a
“Minimalist Fall Decorator”
Here is how I do it:
My husband may disagree with me, but you can’t have enough pumpkins!
And you know me, I ALWAYS am looking for a deal so most of my fall decor and actually all of my decor is purchased after the season.
That is my, #1 Decor Collecting Tip
Seriously, buy your decor at the end of the season! You can get up to 75% off!!!
I love real pumpkins and I also love, love, love, love, love, love faux white, pink and blue pumpkins too!
In my daughter’s room at the beach house I found these adorable fabric pumpkins so I put them on her bed as if they were throw pillows! why not?
The pink pumpkin and the white one near her dresser are from Marshall’s.
Beside’s my daughter’s room, every room at the beach house has blue in it, so when I saw these blue pumpkins I had to get some for sure.
Keeping with the white theme in the master, I added some more white pumpkins of course! 😉
I love to subtly decorate for the season. To me that means that I can add touches of holidays into my decor without changing the theme of my decor.
