I was planning a lunch with a few of my friends, and I wanted to send them home with a gift. I of course always bring a hostess gift when I am invited to someone’s house, but I don’t always give party favors when I have friends visit.
But this lunch was special.
We are old friends getting together. You know the kind of friends that you don’t see often, but when you do you pick up right where you left off. It was that kind of lunch. We had all talked that we probably wouldn’t be able to get together until after fall sports.
I decided I wanted to send them home with some love from me.
Ok, so have you ever seen these cute little wine bottles at your grocery store? One of my friend’s that was attending my lunch loves them and always has them, so I thought I would have some for her!
Then it came to me…
These would be cute bud vases at everyone’s place setting.
It’s summer so I decided I would go for a nautical look!
- hot glue gun
- little wine bottles ( no I did not drink these, incase you were wondering!)
- nautical rope ( you can find it at Michaels)
- shells ( you can find some at Michaels don’t forget your 40% off coupon)
- flowers of course!
- Measure rope around the bottle
- glue it to the bottle with glue gun
4. I then added flower!
They would be fun to decorate on your mantel, or your shelves!
I love how they came out!
Hey, I have a fun flower tip for you. At my local grocery store (if you are local it is Shaw’s in the Heights) If the flowers are no longer “fresh”, you can choose two bunches for the price of one! She evens trims them and re wraps them for me.
I chose pink roses to go with my newly spray painted porch chairs.
Aren’t these bud vases cute? My friends thought they were so cute. After yummy food and many laughs, I surprised them with their gift.
They loved them. I learned a few years ago that my ” Love Language ” is dual : quality time and gifts! So, this time with my friends filled my soul.
I made a Pin graphic just for you :
