We are still in the process of renovating the kitchen. We are going to get a panel for the dishwasher. I think that will look nicer next to the copper sink.
In the kitchen I mixed metals, but a rule of thumb when doing that is to make sure the metals coordinate. So as you can see my beautiful Copper sink from Sinkology will stand out so much better when I panel the dishwasher. But having copper next to brass totally works!
I even found a copper coffee pot!
As you know, I love shiplap…
so we added it to the kitchen and painted it Hale Navy by Benjamin Moore, which is one of my favorite colors and also happens to be one of the 2019 BM colors of the year!
My mom found me these cute copper pumpkins! At Marshall’s of course. Have I told you that my love for Marshall’s came from my mom. Seriously, when she walks in they all say, ” Hi, Kathleen!” She probably goes in at least twice a week!!
The copper light over the sink I found at Amazon!
If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw me gushing about these large hammered brass pendents that I got at Lamps Plus.
I found this cute Christmas scarf at Target. I love using scarfs on my tablescapes too! They make great table runners, like I did here for this winter tablescape!
The hardware is makes such a statement. I love it. You can find it here from DLawless Hardware. they are the same finish as the island pendants!
These wicker chairs are from IKEA. I use them outside too at the beach house and I have them in New Hampshire at the dining room table.
So incase you are wondering, we didn’t put cabinets on that wall because we are going to add a barn door there and put a shallow pantry on that wall…stage 2!
If you are looking for flooring for your home, I highly recommend Lumber Liquidators. The floors were delivered on time and they have video tutorials to help you, and of course you can check out my installation post too!
One of the hardest decisions so far in the kitchen was what counter stools I should get! These were the third ones and I like them the best.
At first, I chose a white one, which definitely popped, but I thought that when you looked at the pic your eyes immediately went to the chairs which I didn’t want.
Even though darker farmhouse chairs are my favorite, and I so wanted them to work in here, they were just too dark. So, I went with a gray wash finish from Wayfair to match the flooring.
The chair I chose for the beach house kitchen is:
I hope you have enjoyed seeing the progress so far! It was fun to show you! We have big plans this winter. We will be finishing this kitchen and the bathrooms!! Stay tuned!!
