Happy Fall & Welcome to How to Create a Fall Vignette
I love fall…
when the weather gets cooler and it is time to pull out the sweaters and bring blankets to the football games…
hot chocolate and cider doughnuts are for breakfast…
Apple picking, Apple pie…
crisp walks …
leaf peeping in New England…
This is Us is back on TV…
Halloween is my birthday…
But one of my favorite things about fall is creating fall vignettes make your home seem cozier and more welcoming.
My favorite place to create a fall vignette is on my dining table. For this first photo, I wanted to show you how you really don’t need much to create a stunning fall vignette… A pumpkin and some eucalyptus is all that was needed.
For the same table, to add some dimension and texture I added a vintage shutter & lanterns that I spray painted gold.
I found the big white pumpkins at Marshalls. I wish I bought more!
My second favorite vignette spot is my mantle.
I found this AMAZING vintage football at an antique barn sale in NH.
The dough bowl is from Target, I just layered it with decor balls, a pumpkin, and the football.
Decorating with vintage books and turning the spine around is one of my favorite design ideas.
In this vignette I wanted my mantel to be neutral, simple and yet a little dramatic. The books elevating the pumpkins was exactly the answer, don’t you think?
Books were added here on this vintage dresser to create the height I needed here too.
I wanted to add my gold lanterns but they looked too small, so adding the books was just the height I needed for this fall vignette.
If you don’t have a fireplace mantel, that is ok, you can still create a mantel vignette on shelves, a table the top of a book shelf.
Then in the kitchen, again, to keep my neutral themed vignette going I just added some white pumpkins and this cute fall sign…
For this vignette I found a vintage drawer and simply added some fall flowers, for a beautifully fall vignette.
collecting pinecones and simply adding them to a vintage copper bowl is a simple & beautiful fall vignette. .
