I actually have never met anyone who didn’t like fall! Maybe it wasn’t their favorite, but they still liked fall.
Fall is my number one…Summer is almost number one, but fall wins because my favorite time of the day to sit on the beach in the summer is when the sun is going down and I need to get a sweatshirt on or wrap myself in my towel! Fall is sweatshirt weather on the beach all day long!
I am in New England so the fall foliage is just breathtaking. People vacation in my state at this time of year just to see the vibrant colors of fall.
And then of course there is football. We are a big football family so following our favorite teams is fun family weekend event. But I have to admit my favorite team to follow now is my son’s college team. He is a freshman football player at Wheaton College. Go Thunder!!!
The football actually makes an appearance in my fall decor each year too. I found this treasure at an antique store in Portsmouth, NH
This year I declared a moratorium on orange in my fall decor! I went with a more neutral feel and I just love it, it’s so calming and welcoming.
The Neutral Dining Room:
I kept it simple this year! First put down my vintage chippy shutter as my table runner!
Next, I got a bunch of milk glass vases at my neighbor’s yard sale. I put in some fall flowers that look like daisies, aren’t they pretty?
Adding place cards on the table makes your guest feel so welcome. I like to add a scripture or quote on the back too, my family and friends always comment on them & it makes them feel special.
These cute little gourds were so cheap at my grocery store, and used them as my place card holders.
My faux pumpkins are from Marshalls
My mantle for fall is neutral as well. The “gather” sign is from Down Grace Lane
And to complete any fall table, defiantly add some Apple Pie! You can find my most delicious Apple Pie recipe here.
