I wanted to share my Christmas Kitchen with you as my last holiday house tour post.
I almost let the season go by with out showing you my kitchen tour. I think my favorite room in my home is my kitchen. We did a remodel when we moved in. This room used to be our dining room. It is the brightest room in the house. The lighting is just so pretty.
I don’t go crazy in the kitchen because I am always cooking here. I love to cook, but I’m not the neatest chef, so I usually use every inch of my countertops when I do! So I keep it pretty simple. As with the rest of my house, in the kitchen I added pops of red for a festive, cozy feel.
One of our favorite Christmas traditions is that we go over to my parents house on Christmas Eve. They are only 5 miles away, but we sleep over! It is so much fun. In the morning my father reads the story of Jesus’s birth from the Bible. We have white powdered doughnuts, cardamon bread, and a breakfast casserole.
At the end of this post I am going to share the breakfast recipe with you. I love it because you assemble it at night and then bake it in the morning. It’s perfect for Christmas morning because I don’t know about you, but I don’t really feel like putting a recipe together. It is also good for when you have guests staying over.
You know about my love for throw pillows…
…Christmas pillows make a great impact. They instantly add texture and a pop of color.
I love my tiered tray.
It is so much fun to decorate for the different seasons. For Christmas, I pretend it’s a Christmas tree. This year I really love my advent globes from Ever Thine Home on the tray.
When we were remodeling our Kitchen the only thing that I wanted to stay was the built-in corner cabinet. It adds so much character to the kitchen. The house was built in 1890, so keeping it in the new kitchen was important to me.
I rarely close the doors. I like to keep them open most of the time. I keep my collection of blue and white dishes in it.
For Christmas, I just added some evergreen sprigs and a few other festive touches.
See those cute little boys in the pictures? The one on the left is in college and the one on the right is in his senior year in college! It goes by so fast doesn’t it? When they were that age Christmas was so magical. We do the same traditions now that they are older actually, but we leave out Santa now 😉
I have a bunch of cute snowmen around the house. My friend Christine gave me the snowman bowl this year, it is so cute.
I hope you enjoyed a little peek at my kitchen…Next hop over to my next post, click here, to be directed to
You can assemble it the night before and pop it in the oven on Christmas morning!
