As you know one of my favorite things to do as a family is to have family dinners! You can read all about this soap box of mine here. For part one of My Christmas House Tour I want to share my dining room table with you.
I bought our table at Ikea in the “as-is” section for only $100. The only problem is it was a manufactured black finish, and I wanted a farm table. So, I decided to refinish it. It was quite a chore, but totally worth it. You can check out the amazing before and after photos of my table here.
I love layering a table. I started out with my old chippy shutter to use as a table runner.
Because I live in NH, we have an abundant of coniferous trees, so I am able to go in my own yard and clip sprigs to decorate with.
I printed off my own place cards using the “ruesk” font. I printed them on card paper. I left triple spaces between them so I could fold them. Inside I wrote the names of Jesus found in the Bible. It will be fun to go around the table and talk about them.
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
Did you see my Thanksgiving table? Remember I told you how easy it is to go from Thanksgiving to Christmas? I kept my word 😉
All I did differently for Christmas, was add some sprigs for greenery and pinecones in my vintage box instead of pumpkins!
